Dans le cadre de l'opération plus d'arbres, plus de vie et de la semaine internationale des Forêts, le pays de la Déodatie, l'association Vergers de Mortagne et l'école de Frémifontaine se sont mobilsés le 15 mars 2014. Cette manifestation a pour but de faire bénéficier aux enfants d'une journée éducative parce qu' il est indispensable de léguer aux générations futures le respect et la connaissance de ce précieux patrimoine .
L'office français de la Fondation pour l'Education à l'Environnement en Europe a décidé de créer l'opération plus d'arbres plus de vie. Plusieurs partenaires sont associés à l'événement. Il s'agit de l'interprofession nationale France Bois Forêt, Toyota France, les Editions Nathan et le syndicat national des pépiniéristes forestiers SNPF qui a fourni les 40 plans dans 8 essences différentes, à chacune des deux communes.
A l'échelon local, cette opération n'aurait pu avoir lieu sans les deux techniciens ONF, Philippe GEORGEL et Lionel MALBRUNO, la Commune de MORTAGNE et son Maire Lionel LECLERC, la scierie VOSGESPROMOBOIS de DOMFAING et son dirigeant Guy DELAITE, Sandrine Pierrat et Isabelle André, institutrices à Frémifontaine et Vincent Lemblé Président de l'association Vergers de Mortagne .
Pour Mortagne, cette journée s'est déroulée de la façon suivante: de 09H30 à 10H30 , M GEORGEL, technicien ONF, a accueilli les enfants au Moulion de Frémifontaine, école de la biodiversité, en présentant une exposition sur les différentes essences rencontrées dans notre région.
Ensuite, à 10h45, les enfants se sont rendus à la scierie VOSGESPROMOBOIS à DOMFAING où les atttendait le dirigeant de la société. Ce dernier a fait découvrir le parcours du bois depuis son abattage en fôret jusqu'à sa transformation et son départ en bois de charpente, de chauffage, de meubles...
L'après-midi, les enfants et les parents se sont retrouvés en fôret de Mortagne. M. MALBRUNO, technicien ONF ,a présenté les différentes terres de fôret et insectes dévastateurs . Puis, tous les enfants ont planté leur arbre. M Rémy HAGNIEL a gravé le prénom de chaque enfant sur une plaque individuelle. Cette dernière est apposée au pied de chaque arbre.
A l'issue de cette journée,tout ce petit monde a été remercié par une collation , un petit livret et un feuillet sur les arbres offerts par les partenaires de l'opération.
Pour ce qui est de Frémifontaine, la plantation de 40 arbres dans l'arboretum derrière l'école aura lieu ce vendredi après-midi.
